There are days in our lives that change us forever.
For our family, July 19 is one of those days.
It is the day we lost Jason.
While that day will always hold sadness, over time it has also become something else. It has become a day of purpose—a reminder that one life, lived with courage, kindness, and resolve, continues to create opportunities for others.
Today, I am honoured to share with you the first edition of A Legacy of Resolve.
This publication is more than a reflection on our Foundation's work. It is the story of why we exist. It shares Jason's journey, the people who shaped his life, and how his words—
"Whatever happens, Mom, I have resolve."
—continue to inspire everything we do.
As you read these pages, you'll also see how that legacy has grown. Together, we are creating more inclusive classrooms, expanding opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and building communities where everyone has the chance to belong, participate, and thrive.
None of this has happened because of one person or one family. It has happened because a community chose to believe in inclusion and has walked alongside us every step of the way.
Thank you for being part of Jason's legacy.
Whether you've volunteered, partnered with us, donated, encouraged us, attended an event, or simply believed in what we're building, you have helped transform a day of loss into a day of purpose.
I hope you'll take a few moments to read A Legacy of Resolve. More than anything, I hope it reminds you that a single life—lived with kindness, courage, and love—can continue to change the world long after that life has ended.

Thank You, Laura and the Bedal Accounting Prof Corp Team!
Some community partners become so much more than the role they were hired to do.
From the very beginning, Laura and the team at Bedal Accounting have been so much more than our accountants. They have been trusted advisors, people we can call with questions, and a team that genuinely wants to see the I Have Resolve Foundation succeed.
Starting and growing a charity comes with countless decisions, and it’s reassuring to know we have professionals we trust to help guide us along the way. Laura and her team’s professionalism, knowledge, integrity, and willingness to share their expertise have made a meaningful difference to our organization.
We’re incredibly grateful that Bedal Accounting has chosen to support our mission and stand alongside us as we continue building more inclusive communities.
If you’re looking for an accounting team that is knowledgeable, approachable, and truly invested in the success of their clients, we couldn’t recommend Laura and the Bedal team more highly.
Thank you, Laura and everyone at Bedal Accounting, for believing in our mission and for being part of the Resolve family.
Your support means so very much.

What Does Resolve Mean to You?
As we prepare the very first edition of A Legacy of Resolve – Volume One, we’re reflecting on a question that has inspired our Foundation from the very beginning.
What does resolve mean to you?
For our family, it began with five simple words spoken by Jason:
“Whatever happens, Mom, I have resolve.”
Since then, “resolve” has come to mean many different things to many different people—hope, courage, belonging, kindness, perseverance, friendship, and inclusion.
We would love to hear from you.
In a sentence or two, tell us: What does resolve mean to you?
With your permission, we may feature selected responses in A Legacy of Resolve – Volume One, our inaugural annual story of impact, being released this month.
Thank you for being part of Jason’s legacy.

July is Disability Pride Month
This month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, individuality, and contributions of people with disabilities. Disability Pride is about embracing identity, challenging barriers, and recognizing that disability is a natural and valuable part of human diversity.
At the I Have Resolve Foundation, inclusion isn’t just something we believe in—it’s the reason we exist.
Every day, we work to create communities where people of all abilities feel seen, valued, and included through:
Disability Pride isn’t only about awareness—it’s about action. It’s about ensuring that every person has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and thrive in their school, workplace, and community.
Together, we can build a future where inclusion isn’t the exception—it’s the expectation.
Happy Disability Pride Month! Let’s celebrate every person, every ability, every day.

Classroom of Resolve – 2026 Mid-Year Update
As we head into summer, we wanted to take a moment to share an update on our Classroom of Resolve initiative.
Since the beginning of 2026, we’ve had the privilege of supporting 28 schools with inclusive classroom resources, sensory supports, and disability inclusion learning. We’re excited to be on track to reach our goal of supporting 50 schools by the end of the year!
This progress wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our educators, community partners, donors, and volunteers. Thank you for believing in the importance of creating classrooms where every student feels welcomed, valued, and supported.
As schools enjoy a well-deserved summer break, our Classroom of Resolve visits will pause until September. While the school year may be on hold, our work certainly isn’t! Throughout the summer, we’ll continue developing new inclusive learning resources, building partnerships, and creating more opportunities for individuals with disabilities to belong, participate, and thrive.
And before the school year begins again, we hope you’ll join us for one of our favourite events of the year—our Powered by Resolve Field Day on Saturday, August 22! It’s a day dedicated to inclusion, friendship, recreation, and community, and we’d love to see you there.
We wish all of our educators, students, families, and supporters a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer. We can’t wait to continue building more inclusive classrooms together this fall.
Together, we’re creating communities where everyone belongs, participates, and thrives.
