This past weekend, we had the opportunity to meet with Lucas and his family. We immediately saw the love that Lucas’s parents have for their child.
They support him to receive speech therapy, and emphasized how hard Lucas works on his language skills. It was also very apparent that what was equally important to them was for Lucas to have opportunities to create friendship, laugh, and enjoy social connection with his peers.
We have been fortunate enough to receive texts from the family over the past few days. We are happy to report that Lucas is loving his new PS5! He is playing with friends, and we think that we can safely say that he is happy!
And that makes us happy too…
Thank you again to everyone, together we made this happen.

So glad that Lucas was able to benefit from this campaign!
We are happy to share an additional PS5 recipient - Jaycee!
Gina, Jaycee’s mom nominated him for a PS5 and shared with us a bit about her son.
“Jaycee was born August 25th of 2000 and was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Since Jaycee was diagnosed we did a lot of fundraising for MDC and Defeat Duchenne. Jaycee was an ambassador twice for Muscular Dystrophy Canada and was also an ambassador for Easter Seals Canada .
Jaycee finished high school in 2022 and now attends the day program at Sask abilities. Jay loves drawing, he collects hot wheels cars of all kinds and can tell you everything you want to know about cars, he is a huge Star Wars fan and loves playing video games like race car Mario, Sonic, and Lego, he has a great personality, a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor...
This past year was a tough year for Jaycee, he was in the hospital this summer 3 times because he had a lot of pain - he had two kidney stones and he is starting to develop scoliosis. Jaycee missed being able to go to camp Easter seals because he was sick he has been going to camp Easter seals since he was 13 so he was pretty sad about missing it but has been doing much better.”
Gina
We are so happy to see Jaycee receive a new gaming console. Stayed tuned for more good news that we have to share!

#disabilityinclusion # inclusion #gamingSometimes we receive feedback that touches us deeply, Brendan’s reaction to his prize is one of those times.
We are thrilled to share news of one of our Gaming Marathon recipients - Brendan. It would be an understatement to say that Brendan was shocked and thrilled to receive his PS5. Thank you to so many who gamed and supported our cause. You truly made a difference in the life of this young man.
Brendan’s mom wrote us to share her appreciation, please read below.
“At the age of 8 years old we received the devastating news that our youngest son tested positive for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. As hard as this news was to digest at the time and still is to this day, Brendan, for the most part is a happy go lucky young 15 year old now. About 3 years ago he fell and broke his leg and unfortunately has not walked since that day. As much as the wheelchair restricts what he is now able to do as well as his muscle loss, one of his favorite past times is gaming. He was absolutely shocked and cried when he received the PS5. Thank you so very much to the people who helped make this happen and put a spark back in my child’s eyes. It is people like you who truly make a difference in this ever changing and sometimes cruel world.”

Thank you again to everyone. We will have more joy to share soon.

We are excited to announce our first annual I Have Resolve Foundation Gala!
Please join us at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club on March 22nd, 2025 in support of disability inclusion. Our fundraising will be put toward inclusion opportunities within our IHR community.
Cocktails will be served at 6:00 pm, and dinner at 7:00pm, which will be followed by a Silent/Live Auction and dancing. We are grateful to Rob Aitken from Music Central Entertainment for providing us with amazing entertainment. Additionally, we are pleased to announce a guest performance by Dreams Come True Music Studio which will begin at 6:30pm.
You will enjoy a wonderful food experience with our father and daughter team of Jeff and Daniella Germond. Jeff Germond has spent most of his career in the golf industry and many may know that his beginnings were as a chef. His daughter Daniella proudly followed in his footsteps…she may have even stepped just a bit further into the chef world, creating a name for herself by winning the Young Chef Olympiad Award while representing Canada in India. We are proud to have this duo prepare our dinner menu
